Fall Projects Continue

We have accomplished many things this summer/fall and soon the projects on the course will come to an end.  We are leveling the last tee, #7 ladies this week.  In the last few weeks we installed new shingles on the 1/2 way house, leveled the men's and pro tee on #7, leveled #16 ladies tee and ground the stumps around the course.

We do have a few more projects - sodding the wear areas from carts on #11,#14, #13 and #18 as we open the rough to play most likely later this week.  We will also begin painting of the maintenance building and 1/2 way house.

#10 and #13 greens are filling in nicely.  We are lowering the height of cut  with each mowing.  The frost free weather has put the green ahead of schedule going into winter.

Bald Cyprus is a tree well suited for growing on the peat bog.  In the fall it's needles will turn a rusty brown color prior to dropping.

A view of the new #18 ladies tee.  Later this week the ropes will come down and the rough will open.

Praying Mantis found "hunting" the the grass.

Enjoy the Ash trees - in a few years most will be gone as the Emerald Ash Borer continues to devastate the ash trees in our area.
